Acumen News #110 February – News on many fronts!

Dear Cricket Official,

For once, I make no apology for leading on an exciting new product from Acumen. This newsletter also highlights several postings on several umpiring and scoring websites which show that matters are moving forward. There are also several interesting conferences and seminars in the next month or so.

Now you can count runs even more discreetly

Acumen have been able to source an electronic Tally Counter that fits on your finger.
<img src=http://www.acumenbooks.co.uk/attach/electal4.jpg>
This will normally retail at £9.99 + £1 UK p&p but, as usual, we are making a special launch offer in UK, post free, cash or cheque with order - please quote your ACU&S membership number. Use the website below for credit card purchase - price may vary.

We continue to offer the larger version with wrist or neck strap and the mechanical ones. All counters go up to 9,999, one run per click. There is only one other button / control to reset or switch off.

You can find our full range of products including the electronic download version of Duckworth Lewis Guide.

Nompere Discussion Board continues to be active

Recent postings on the Bulletin Board have included such diverse topics as Assessment of Umpires, Results of GL5 and statistics on ECBOA recruitment.

Regular postings here will also direct you to the latest news on other relevant websites.

Please share your views.

ECBOA achieves 1,000 members.

Frank Kemp tells me that ECBOA has now recruited over 1,000 members, is running 14 courses, and that there will be more announcements shortly. I have suggested he posts a message on the discussion board when it is released to save frequent fruitless visits.

From time to time, there are problems on the internet and many of our newsletter emails bounce. The system then removes these names from the database and we have to reinstate them manually.
