IMPORTANT NOTICE: WorldHQ.com and luna.co.uk email users

Please be aware that from May 1st 2007, WorldHQ will cease to offer the free luna.co.uk and WorldHQ.com email and dial up services.  If you have your own domain or broadband with WorldHQ this does NOT apply to you!

From the 1st May 2007, there will be an annual charge for the use of the Luna and WorldHQ's domains, facilities and services. The charge for these services for a luna.co.uk account will be £50 per annum per email address, and for a WorldHQ.com email account is £100 per annum per email address. This charge will cover the period January - December. If you choose to leave Luna, there will be no charge for January - April this year.

The reason we are giving plenty of warning is to allow users who wish to make alternative arrangements, time to establish an email account elsewhere, and to give them adequate time to inform their contacts.

FAQ

Why are you doing this now?

Luna has over 1000 users who contribute nothing to Luna's profitability, and require considerable support, and resources in terms of hardware and bandwidth.

Why did you ever give a free service?

The original model was based on the fact that most Luna users dialed into a Luna dial-up account, and contributed a small "call revenue" which Luna would receive from BT.

Most users now have Broadband, mostly not with WorldHQ, and the BT call revenue is now so insignificant that it does not even cover the cost of providing the dial-up facility.

What level of service will I receive? You will receive the same level of service you get now, with the addition of anti-spam and anti-virus protection. Currently Luna accounts only receive minimum anti-spam protection.
I have broadband or a hosting service (domain, email) through Luna. Do I get free email? If you currently pay for any service through WorldHQ Limited, then then we will not charge you for an @luna.co.uk email address. Please be aware, this does not apply to broadband provided by Tech Internet Limited (formerly Luna Internet Limited), which is a seperate company.
What support will I get?

support will be provided via email, or through the contacts page on http://www.worldhq.com

Will you forward Luna email to my new account

No

How do I join the new scheme? Updates will appear here, and on the webmail site, and you will also be informed via email.
I do not wish to continue with luna/worldhq, what do I do? Nothing. As of 1st May, email to your account will be rejected. You will still be able to collect your email for another month, but your mailbox will then be deleted.
